Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by difficulties with attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. But, a lot of people suffering from ADHD employ a coping method called "masking," in which they either subconsciously or consciously hide their ADHD characteristics to conform to the social norms and standards. This article will clarify the notion of ADHD masking by looking at its prevalence, effects on relationships, mental health, and academic performance.
